We believe human trafficking and child marriage can end — but it takes all of us. Our desire is to make anti-trafficking work accessible and actionable by equipping individuals, families, and communities across the world with the tools to create lasting change. Through movement, arts, and relationship we believe that women and children can break the cycle of exploitation. At our center in Pokhara Nepal we offer different programs that empower women and children through movement and arts. We are trauma-informed and relationally driven to provide the utmost care to those we serve.

3 Angels Nepal is an NGO in Nepal that fights human trafficking through prevention, rehabilitation, and interception. They work at the border and within communities to intercept traffickers. For those who were intercepted they provided safe housing, education, and vocational skills. They also provide opportunities for micro-lending and widow care. Tali Koum Collective works with them to provide their children with holistic care.
We have a local rockstar on our team! With her background in business finance and her talent for story telling she is a powerful advocate for women and children. Before working for Tali Koum Collective she served another NGO fighting to abolish human trafficking in Nepal. Her heart, talents, and experience make her an indispensable part of our team.
The Story Behind Our Name…
Tali Koum is shortened for Talitha Koum, which means “Little Girl, I say to you arise”. When we were trying to think of a name, we wanted it to reflect the strength and resiliency that each of those we work with carry. We believe that each survivor can rise up and take this world by storm if they are given the tools they need.
We also felt it was very important to choose a name that reflects the collaboration we are inviting. We want this work to unite people from around the world to fight human trafficking and child marriage together. Tali Koum Collective is a group of survivors and advocates all working to abolish human trafficking and child marriage.
Namaste! Hello! I am so glad you are here! My name is Hannah and I am the dreamer behind Tali Koum Collective. I first came to Nepal to trek the Annapurna Circuit and very quickly fell in love with the nation and its people.
Throughout my life I was always drawn to anti-trafficking work, but it felt daunting, complicated, and messy. How could anything be done to fight something so disgusting and unjust? But as I met with women and children at the border who had just been intercepted from trafficking their questions dismantled the lies I was believing. At the core of it I truly believe that women and children have the power to take the world by storm. I believe that when we give these children the space and resources to heal from their trauma they will grow into men and women who love deeply and fight for justice. It’s my biggest honor to come alongside these women and children and empower them to heal wholly.
Tali Koum Collective was created to fight human trafficking and child marriage together. As an American I wanted to bridge the gap between good intentions and practical tools. I wanted to create a way for everyone to fight human trafficking in real time by giving those within the cycle the resources they need to break the cycle.
By trade I am an Occupational Therapist who believes fully in the power of occupation, relationships, and movement. I love incorporating all of these into my professional and personal life. When I am not at the center I may be trail running, swimming, biking, enjoying a good book, feeding my compost to our neighborhood cows, or watching Gilmore Girls.
